Gabriel is dead

Gabriel suffered for a long time with bad kidneys and a pancreas that got inflamed from time to time. SingSang nursed him til the end.

Thursday 28 May Gabriel was put to sleep by one of the vets in our home. He knew her well, as he knew all vets at the clinic since he has been there so often up through the years.
Gabriel has had attacks of pancreatitis and kidneyproblems (he had a chronic inflammation in his kidneys) many times before, but this time he didn't manage to fight it, despite medication.

Gabriella and Sizi 6 weeks old. They are two completely different personalities. Sizi is the fearless baby, while Gabriella is the cautious adventurer. There are new pictures of the kittens 6 weeks old at the ninth litter page.

I am Siamese if you please. I am Siamese if you don't please.

Gabriel and Bella from my point of view

(N) OffBeat Bella, SIA f, and Intermezzo's Gabriel, OSH n, resting in my bed. I thought they looked like a painting, so I manipulated the picture a bit. I will always remember Gabriel like this. Patient and kind to all of the other cats.

Littlefeat Dixie Chick, a real chick who just wants to have fun.

The Siamese cat - not for the average cat lover
The extra cat

Neither the Oriental nor the Siamese cat are cats for the average cat lover. These cats demand more, but they also give more. No other cat can compete with them when it comes to intelligence, creativity or the ability to love. These cats are described as the “extra cats”, because they are extra everything – extra energetic, extra emotional, extra smart, extra manipulative etc. If you are looking for just a cat, you have come to the wrong place. The Oriental and the Siamese are cats for people that are a bit extra themselves . . .

The Siamese and the Oriental shorthair are basically the same kind of cat, the only thing that separate them from each other are their colours and patterns. The Siamese has the coloured points (face, ears, legs and tail are coloured, and the body should be creamy white or light), while the Oriental shorthair is coloured all over and can be solid or patterned (mackerel, spotted or blotched). The body type, head and so forth are the same. As is the mental condition!

Siamese - the Ultimate Cat
A feature story on the Siamese mentality and where they come from.

Many people get fascinated by the slender beauty of these cats, but before you consider buying one, you should read this article about what and how they are. If you are still interested, we could have a talk.
