Olivia's kittens are so lovely. They are now all over the place; playing, investigating and trying to scare Harriet (Bella's mother) the best they can. See new pictures of Olivia's kittens at their own page. Go to Litters in the menu to the left, and from there to the Eleventh Litter. Inger Lise, Bella's daughter, was 11 weeks old Sunday 11th of April. There are two new pictures of her at the Tenth Litter page. The more I observe my cats, the more fascinated I become.
It's like living in the middle of a reality tv show. You never know who
will form new alliances, who will be kicked out of the good company or
who will suddenly become everyone's little darling again. The kittens,
however, stick together no matter what. Is it a generation thing, I wonder?
I get the impression that the kittens often think the grown ups are rather
daft... |

| The Siamese cat - not for the average cat
lover
|
||||||||||||
|
Neither the Oriental nor the Siamese cat are cats for the average cat lover. These cats demand more, but they also give more. No other cat can compete with them when it comes to intelligence, creativity or the ability to love. These cats are described as the “extra cats”, because they are extra everything – extra energetic, extra emotional, extra smart, extra manipulative etc. If you are looking for just a cat, you have come to the wrong place. The Oriental and the Siamese are cats for people that are a bit extra themselves . . . The Siamese and the Oriental shorthair are basically the same kind of cat, the only thing that separate them from each other are their colours and patterns. The Siamese has the coloured points (face, ears, legs and tail are coloured, and the body should be creamy white or light), while the Oriental shorthair is coloured all over and can be solid or patterned (mackerel, spotted or blotched). The body type, head and so forth are the same. As is the mental condition!
Many people get fascinated by the slender beauty of these cats, but before you consider buying one, you should read this article about what and how they are. If you are still interested, we could have a talk. |
