(N) OffBeat's ninth litter

Olivia and her daughter Sizi enjoying each other, while the rest of us watch the telly.

The ninth (N) OffBeat litter was born 14 May, 2009. Parents are (N) OffBeat Olivia, SIA xns, and GIC Kattilan Corkscrew Charlie, OSH b 24. Olivia is herself a silver, a colour not allowed in Siamese within FIFe. Her Siamese baby can only be used in Oriental breeding because of this.

Pictures and information about Kalle will be published later. If you want to know more about him at once, go to his owner's website: http://cocochanels.com/cats.php

Olivia's black daughter, one week old.

Nine weeks old

Time flies, the girls are already nine weeks old. In three weeks time they will get their first vaccine.
They are now pretty wild, running like mad up and down the staircase, and Gabriella even climbing the curtains. Sizi, however, has not yet stooped to that kind of vulgar behaviour. She is a real little lady, Sizi is.

Sizi is actually looking quite nice at the moment, although her ears could be a little bit bigger. But who knows? Perhaps they will grow with her? They have done so far, any way.
Her head is very nice, and her eyes are beautiful. The best thing about her, though, is her lovely temperament.

Gabriella is rather wild by comparison. And not very keen on being caressed – she hasn't got the time for it, and when she is sleepy, she wants to sleep and not be disturbed by any caring, stroking hands!

Sizi loves to climb on Ronny's belly.

She also enjoys cuddling up to a warm neck.

Sizi has got a very nice head, I think.

Sizi sleeping on Ronny's shoulder.

Gabriella is not quite sure she wants to go outside.

She has made up her mind, but doesn't rush it.

The garden is a huge place for a little kitten.

If the weather stays ok, she will soon be out there.

Six weeks old

A lovely morning. Olivia and Sizi plays a little.

Sizi is still such a baby compared to Gabriella. She's much smaller in size, she is not yet convinced that the littertray is the place to pee etc. Gabriella had her first meal on her "sixth week birthday", she uses the littertray as a grown up and she is generally a bit "older", somehow.
Sizi is the sweet little babygirl. Not afraid of anything, probably because she doesn't understand that anything could be dangerous? I hope she will start to eat solid food soon, though. She is a bit thin, especially when you compare her to her sturdy sister...

First time outside. Granny SingSang watches.

Sizi was very curious and smelled the grass.

Olivia kept a close watch; told Sizi to be careful.

Gabriella wasn't that keen, but Sizi was fearless!

6th week meal. Sizi still prefers mum's milk.

Olivia tries to tell baby Sizi to behave.

A little rest is always ok after a long play.

She's so cute, Sizi is. Very girlish little kitten.

Five weeks old

Gabriella is now using the little littertray I've prepared for her and her sister. Sizi, however, has not yet learned to use it. She is somehow much more of a baby than Gabriella.

Sizi is still very soft tempered. Loves to be cuddled by everyone. She is also very interested in toys, where as Gabriella is more concerned about discovering her environment.

Gabriella always looks a bit surprised.

Still more funny looking than beautiful...

Gabriella reminds me a bit of Gabriel as a baby.

Clever girl, already using the little littertray.

I believe Sizi is a choc pt, after all.

Sizi is calmer than her sister, and so sweet.

Something tells me Sizi will grow into beauty.

Toys are interesting. Sizi tries to play with them.

Nichlas (11) visiting Olivia and her kittens.

They will be more fun in a week or two!

Gabriella and Sizi. Hard to see they are sisters?

Gabriella walks with great confidence in herself.

Four weeks old

The Siamese girl now has a name: Sizi.
She is soft tempered, still slimmer than Gabriella, but as energetic and curious as her sister.
I'm still not sure about her colour, though. Chocolate? Or perhaps caramel??? Well, she's only 4 weeks old, so there's plenty of time to observe the development before I have to send in the registration papers.

Gabriella is not very like her sister in type or looks, but she's as sweet tempered as Sizi. Perhaps a tiny bit more active?

Gabriella is everything I could wish for.

Sweet temperament, active, and so lovely!

Sizi has a very nice head. She's also very sweet.

Flash light does not become her, though.

Three weeks old

Climbing is fun!

At three weeks of age, they are now ready for a little more space and adventure. Toys are interesting, but they have not yet found out how to play with them.
They are growing fast now. Gabriella is still looking more like a teddy bear than an Oriental, but the Siamese girl has already got a "look". She somehow reminds me of Claudia in Olivia's previous litter.
I wonder if the Siamese girl shall be called Siri? Or something in that direction, anyway.

Still don't know what colour she has. Choc?

Not much doubt about Gabriella's colour, though.

Nothing better than a big belly to walk on.

The Siam girl likes to explore new sights.

There's not much likeness between them, so far.

Kittens are even cute when they yawn!

There is something about this girl, I think.

Gabriella, however, looks like a little toy bear.

Two weeks old

I am so grateful for this little black girl.

The sisters are now two weeks old. They are prospering and I have an impression they will become very nice cats to be with.

I have named the black girl after Gabriel, so her name is Gabriella. I still don't know what to call her Siamese sister, but I know a name will pop up sooner or later.
The Siamese girl is somehow a little bit "softer" than Gabriella. I don't know why I have this impression, but there is something about her telling me she is a timid and very friendly cat.

I will of course keep Gabriella.

I am so grateful for Gabriella. Cool kitten!

Gabriella is still looking like a little bear cub.

The Siamese girl has a very snobbish look.

Talk about arrogant? But she's got a soft soul.

One week old

I am totally in love with the black little girl. She has guts!

As she did the first time, Olivia gave birth with ease and grace. She ate the placentas and cared for the babies and took care of everything – with a little bit of help from me to dry off the second one.
The black girl started suckling almost immediately after she was born. The Siamese girl was a bit tired, but started to suckle after an hour or so.
They were both rather lightweight at birth; the black one weighed 84 gr, and the Siamese only 72 gr. The latter looked very thin, although sizewise she was as big as the other. I think Olivia had had too little time to relax during this pregnancy, due to Harriet's constant harrassment of her. Harriet did not like that Olivia got pregnant. Not at all.
So Harriet started to breastfeed Bella again, something Bella appreciated very much, of course.

Olivia with the Siamese girl. She's a cutiepie.

The Siamese girl is a bit smaller than her sister.

She looks like a little bear cub, the black girl.

I think I am enjoying myself as much as Olivia.
