Seven weeks old

The kittens are quite a handful by now. They have been taught to play rather rough by Inger Lise, Bella's daughter who is one month older.
They are not fussy with their food. Eat anything I serve, which is such a relief. All my grown up cats are very particular about their food...
The litter as a whole is still very even. Hard to tell if anyone of them will stand out as the best looking of them. The last week Chocolina has been looking så delicately sweet and lovely, and Nicolina has been looking rather plain. But next week?
Brutus is far bigger than his sisters, and has a typically boyish temperament: Cuddle me! First!!!

Chocolina is the most feminine kitten I've had.

Nicolina 6 weeks old. She's a real sweetheart.

Nicolina 7 weeks old. She loves her food...

Petronella 6 weeks old. She reminds me of Peter.

Inger Lise in front, the 7 weeks are behind her.

Nicolina again. She is a bit chubby, this girl.

Inger Lise is really fond of Olivia's babies.

Five weeks old

Brutus, the only boy in the house, trying to get Chocolina to slow down a bit. Brutus is stronger, but he doesn't stand a chance against the girls.

They get lovelier and lovelier every week that passes. Active, investigative and very, very curious. Some days ago they jumped the "fences" that was meant to secure them from the dangerous staircase.
So now I only have to hope for the best...

They are as comfortable with Bella, Inger Lise's mother, as they are with their own. And Olivia seems to be perfectly at ease with sharing the babycare with Bella. After all, Bella's daughter is suckling Olivia all the time. Olivia doesn't mind – her older daughter Gabriella is suckling her too. So Olivia just keeps being the perfect mother. And seems to love it.

Petronella is a creative little girl. And smart.

Chocolina is special. Something about her...

Chocolina sleeping. Some food left on her nose.

Nicolina, a stubborn little girl. Strong.

Four weeks old

Bella is now trying to take over the kittens. Gabriella keeps a close watch, while Olivia lets them do it – until she decides to take over again.

Olivia's kittens are now four weeks old. They are active, playful and love human company. They tolerate Bella, but don't like her that much.
Chocolina is somewhat different from the others. She's got such a girlish flair about her. Very sweet, indeed.

Bella is a real pain in the ass, but so far it works.

Brutus and Petronella stick together a lot.

Chocolina is probably the best looking of them.

She is such a sweet kitten, the Chocolina girl.

Brutus, a really cool little boy. Strong.

Petronella who has stolen my heart.

Nicolina left, Inger Lise in front. Big step sister...

Waiting for their 4th week birthday

Although Inger Lise is one month older, she's not that bigger, so however rough she sometimes plays with Olivia's babies, they can handle it.

I really adore the kittens I have now. They are all so funny and gentle. Bella spends a lot of her time with Inger Lise, of course, but she doesn't mind in the least that Inger Lise spends more time with Olivia and her kittens. Bella visits, and seems to be a bit relieved when she sees how well her daughter is taken care of. A bit weird, really.

The first three weeks

Nothing compares to watching Olivia with her babies, or watching the babies. They are so lovely! Here is Chocolina taking a nap, while Nicolina is trying to wake her up.

The first three weeks of Olivia's kittens have been a bliss. Maybe more so because I had such a hard struggle with Bella's? Anyway, they are such a harmonious little family, and Bella's daughter Inger Lise is so welcome to spend time with them. Olivia even lets Inger Lise suckle her like the others.

Chocolina and Petronella wonder what's on.

Nicolina, 3 weeks old. Biggest of the girls.

Petronella, 3 weeks old. I've a weak spot for her.

Inger Lise might be older, but she's not much bigger.

Another pic of Chocolina, the girlie girl.

Inger Lise has arrived and causes some ruckus.

Newborn

The morning the day Olivia gave birth, Bella brought her babies to keep her company, and Olivia's own daughter Gabriella joined them.

On her 69th of pregnancy Olivia gave birth to four strong Oriental kittens. As usual the delivery went smooth; Olivia very relaxed and confident. Her babies began looking for her nipples almost as soon as they were out of the amnion sack, yes, one of them started even before that.
They were all of good weights, however not huge: 90, 88, 100 and 106 gr (the boy). The first three are girls, and the last a boy. He is the only one that hasn't inherited the silver.

The chocolate silver ticked girl is called Chocolina. She is a tender and very feminine little girl.
The black silver ticked girl is called Nicolina. She is very strong and is the biggest of the girls.
The black silver spotted girl is called Petronella. She is the most active one of them all.
The black ticked boy is called Brutus. He's a teddy bear; born to be cuddled.

The boy, just born. Called Brutus. A relaxed guy.

The choc silver ticked girl, called Chocolina.
